Table Reservation System

A Restaurant POS System may have built-in Table Reservation feature or integrate with other Table Booking System software.

The floor plan of the restaurant is setup in the Table Reservation System. If deployed on a touch screen POS, it becomes simpler for the POS user to assign customers to available time slots for that table. It is also possible to seamlessly merge and move tables. Some reservation systems can also be integrated to restaurant’s website for customers to do online reservations, as alternative to phone reservations.

Another useful feature will be a wait-list management system. The system sends reservation reminders via SMS to the customer when his table arrangement is ready. In a restaurant where there is a long waiting queue, this notification system allows the customer to make good use of his time to pursue other activities (e.g. go shopping) instead of waiting in line for a table.
