Shop Inventory Management

Retail POS solutions usually include an Inventory Management module.  As sales are recorded at the POS, goods sold are deducted from the shop’s inventory immediately.  Real time update allows different stores to share stock inventory information and enhance customer service.  For example, if shop A runs out of stock, the cashier, using the POS system, is able to help customers locate the next shop with stock.

Some inventory management applications may be further configured to automatically send purchase order requests to suppliers to replenish stock.
