Employee Time Tracking

 

A POS system may be used to track employees’ working time. The employee manning the POS system may be required to log-in to the system to start using it during their working shift.
This log in/log out process will allow the employer to know who is manning the POS system during a specific period of time. In supermarkets running 24-hr operations, some merchants may need to hire part time staff. Hence the merchant may use the POS system to ‘clock” staff working time. The data can accordingly be channeled to a payroll management program to administer staff paycheck.
